Apprenticeship training in the cleaning and property services field

These studies will provide you with targeted learning in cleaning basics, domestic services and facilities maintenance. The studies are in English, but during your studies you will also learn to use Finnish in customer service situations. The studies improve your employment opportunities in cleaning services.

Goals for the studies

You will learn how to

Information about the training

Vocational unit

The scope of Cleaning and property services is 60 – 90 competence points (cp). It consists of two or three vocational units from the Further Vocational Qualification in Cleaning and Property Services (Site facilities operator): Provision of customer-oriented cleaning and property services (15 cp) – Opintopolku.fi, Maintenance cleaning services (45 cp) – Opintopolku.fi and one optional unit (30 cp) depending on the tasks at your workplace.

Scope and duration

60 – 90 competence points. We prepare a personal study plan together with you, taking into account your previous education and work experience. The estimated duration of the studies is from 4 to 6 months. You can supplement your studies according to your work assignments.

To whom

The training is targeted to you who are already working in the cleaning and property services field in Finland, and whose employer has agreed to tie an apprenticeship training contract.

Costs

With an apprenticeship contract, the training is free of charge.

Place

Haaga Helia -campus in Pasila (Ratapihantie 13, Helsinki).

Time

The training will start in January 2025.

Most of the apprenticeship training is conducted at your workplace, but the studies are supported also by some learning days at Haaga Helia -campus in Pasila. 80 % of the training is learning at your own workplace with different learning tasks and 20 % school teaching.

School days are in Pasila on Thursdays at 1pm to 4 pm according to the following schedule:

This is a multiform learning program. You will acquire your skills through various learning environments and methods. Studies may include, for example, face-to-face and distance learning, online learning, as well as independent and group study. You will supplement your studies according to a personal plan while learning in the workplace. You will receive feedback on the development of your skills from both the teacher and the workplace supervisor. Once you have achieved your vocational competence, you will demonstrate it through practical work situations in a workplace demonstration. An apprenticeship agreement or training agreement will be arranged for the time of your studies.

Applying for training

Continuous admission

To apply for this training, you need a workplace. There is continuous admission to these studies. We will contact you within two weeks after you have filled in the application form. Every applicant participates in an individual interview. After the interview, you will receive information via email within two weeks whether you got accepted to Keuda or not.
